Why The Power of WORDS?

Words are our power to create.

We can conceive of an idea or notion in our minds, but speaking it is what converts this intangible thought form into something we can define, grasp and express - and the words we choose to use have a definite bearing on the actions we take and how we feel.

Dr. Masaru Emoto, author of The Hidden Messages in Water demonstrates that attaching/labeling different words to specimens of water causes the shape of the water crystal (when frozen) to vary and - you guessed it – the more positively charged words such as “thank you”, “love”, “appreciation”, etc., created the most symmetrical and beautiful crystals, while anything to the contrary created scattered, broken forms. Knowing that our bodies and the bodies of those with whom we interact are comprised mainly of water, logic AND science now demonstrate that our words absolutely have an effect on our physical well-being as well as the physical well-being of others.

All Rock My Spirit! songs & keynote presentations are mindfully engineered with positive, powerful language which affirms what we want to feel and experience in the present tense, using words like “I Am” , “I have”, etc., and only briefly touches on “negative” language/ideas, solely for contrast purposes. As words create and reflect our thoughts, and thoughts create our reality, the more we can use words that are in alignment with living our dreams & visions, the more we attract the best of life!

Why The Power of MUSIC?

How many of us have heard a certain song and were then instantly transported back in time to a specific event and place in our memories and were able to “relive” that experience and emotion here and now? Notice that certain songs bring tears, laughter, anger, celebration, feelings of sensuality and calming. Even when listening to instrumental pieces or songs in different languages, we can still get an overall feeling about that piece of music – or the “mood”, if you will. Why? Because music is UNIVERSAL, it speaks to every human being on the planet regardless of our cultural, ethnic, religious or economic backgrounds, and brings with it the power to do virtually anything with our mood and overall state of well-being.

FEELING and EMOTION are the ROCKET FUEL that compel us to act, put FIRE and FOCUS into our desires and cast the deciding vote of how open we are to RECEIVING our success. When we engage the EMOTIONS and actually FEEL high-energy emotions like gratitude, joy, excitement and genuine love, we increase our ability to transform our life TEN-FOLD...

...and harnessing the power of WORDS (which speaks to our intellect) AND MUSIC (which speaks to our emotions) then positively impacts our individual and collective SPIRIT – thereby harnessing the power to change the world – one song at a time...

Why ALLOWING Success?

Although people across the globe are now becoming familiar with the “Law of Attraction” (thanks to movies like “The Secret”, “What The Bleep Do We Know”, talk show hosts like Oprah, Ellen, & Larry King, and the barrage of books now available and highly visible at your neighborhood Barnes & Noble, Borders, etc.), the concept of “ALLOWING” Success it is still quite new to many individuals and corporate cultures.

The “Law of Attraction” states that whatever we focus on (through thoughts, words and actions) increases. Once we become aware of this, we attract the things we WANT to experience by being clear about what we want and staying conscious and present as much as possible. In order for us to complete the cycle by getting to RECEIVE and REALIZE our goals/intentions/visions, it is then also up to us to LET (“ALLOW”) what we want into our life – which historically has been THE most challenging piece of the puzzle – UNTIL NOW... HOW do you do THAT, you ask? I guess you'll just have to hire us to find out 8^)!

Why High-Energy?

Through many years of stage experience, we have discovered a fundamental truth – participants learn and participate more when they are awake, engaged, energized and entertained. Even though there is always value in calming/quiet music and environments (and we at Rock My Spirit! do also take great pleasure in expressing our “softer side” in such situations), we find that people are a lot more willing to come to the party if it is, well... a PARTY!

Another idea that has been around for thousands of years, Zen or “The Power of Presence”, is a tremendous tool anyone and everyone can use to increase productivity & prosperity, improve relationships, feel an increased sense of peace and joy – and SO much more. When we realize that ALL stress comes from thinking (or should I say worrying) about past experiences or potential futures, learning to live in the now & truly “paying attention” (as all our grade school teachers or parents once uttered in our school-yard days), can be the greatest gift we can give ourselves, our significant others, and our family/friends/clients/employees/teammates/employers. The more focused, peaceful, clear and appreciative we are of each and every moment, the more we can truly GIVE and RECEIVE. How to cultivate the Power of Presence? Why Authenticity?

“When we think, speak, and act from a place of authenticity, energy GROWS, and life FLOWS!”

Think about something you absolutely LOVE to do right now. Pretend, just for a moment, that you are doing that awesome, fun, fabulous thing at this moment. How do you feel? My guess (and personal experience) is you could probably do that activity for quite a while before running out of steam. Imagine what life would be like, how you would feel, and how you would treat others if you felt this good and energized most or ALL of the time? Welcome to the power of Authenticity! The more you discover about yourself, who you REALLY are and what you REALLY love, the more this positively affects EVERY aspect of your life – career, love, money, health, etc... The one catch – it takes courage to live outside the box, raise your standards and follow your heart, but if you are willing to take this journey - even in baby steps throughout life - the rewards are worth far more than anything you could ever imagine...

Why Action?

Not too many lives have been transformed by doing nothing but sitting on the couch zoning out in front of the TV and/or repeating the same actions and habits while expecting different results. It goes without saying (but I'm going to say it anyway!) that change can only happen when we are willing to DO something. The Rock My Spirit! team and I (and every author, speaker, teacher in the Universe, for that matter) can share tons of tremendous tools, but it is always up to the individual to apply these tools to his/her life. True wisdom is a VERB, resulting from the marriage of knowledge and ACTION. The great thing is, when you know how to consciously work the “Law of Attraction”, live in the present moment, embrace an attitude of gratitude, act from a place of authenticity and allow your success, life becomes magical, you recognize that the possibilities truly are infinite and every result you could have ever desired becomes your every day reality!
